The maison

ABOUT

Where we began

Sage Beirut started in 2019 as a private sourcing circle — a few collectors who wanted originals without the theatre. Today the atelier receives pieces from estates and first owners across the region, and releases each one only after it has earned the wall.

We stay deliberately small. Every piece passes through the same few hands: received, examined, photographed, priced. If a piece cannot be proven, it never reaches the light.

The ritual

Every piece passes the same four lights.

  1. Saddle stitchingWaxed linen thread, two needles — the slight human irregularity no machine reproduces.
  2. Hardware & turn-lockEngravings crisp and centred; plating weight and screw finish measured against the maison's spec.
  3. Blind stampThe heat-pressed date stamp, read under magnification — letter codes the year and atelier.
  4. Leather & grainGrain, hand and scent of the hide, checked panel against panel for consistency.
Luxury is confidencein provenance— everything else is decoration.
